2019 Honoree - Screenwriting

Nick Vallelonga

Nick Vallelonga, who co-wrote and produced Green Book, will receive the award for Screenwriting. Green Book is based on the true story of a concert tour in the Deep South with the brilliant pianist, Dr. Donald Shirley, and Mr. Vallelonga's father, Tony Lipp, who was Mr. Shirley's driver and bodyguard. Mr. Vallelonga won two Academy Awards and two Golden Globes for Original Screenplay and Best Movie.
