Stephen Miotto
Stephen Miotto is a master mosaicist and craftsman based in Carmel, New York. He was born and raised in the Bronx, attended Lehman College and the Scuola Mosaic di Spilimbergo, in Spilimbergo, Italy. He began his company Miotto Mosaics in 1981, and has worked with artists, designers, and architects to create major mosaic projects both domestically and internationally. HIs work is in over 70 Subway stations in New York City, at Untermeyer Park in Yonkers, US airports from Washington DC to Atlanta to Seattle, and at US Embassies from England to Brazil to Senegal. He has been profiled in publications such as The New York Times, PBS Thirteen, and Philadelphia.
