Chris Carnicelli
Chris Carnicelli is the Chief Executive Officer of Generali Global Assistance North America. In this role, Chris is responsible as Chief Executive Officer for all business lines of the Group in North America. Chris is a member of the Generali Top Leadership Group and the Executive Committee of the Europ Assistance Group. In his over 25 years with the Group, Chris has served in numerous strategic roles. Chris joined the Group as General Counsel of Generali in New York in 1996, then was promoted to Chairman and Chief Executive of Generali in New York in 1999. In 2003, Chris was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Generali United Kingdom in London, which served as the center for the Generali Group’s multinational and large corporate clients around the Globe. Upon his return from London, Chris was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Generali USA Life Reassurance in Kansas City, which grew to become a top ten reinsurer in the US under his tenure before its sale to SCOR Global Life.
Chris is also very active in the community, serving as a Board member of several associations, including as past President of the US Travel Insurance Association, Board member in New York for Unicef, and a Board member of the Insurance Institute Charitable Foundation. Chris also serves as an Advisory Board member for Pace University and the Elizabeth Haub School of Law, where he was honored as the recipient of the Law School’s Leadership award in 2016. Chris is also the President of Fox Meadow Tennis Club, the birthplace of platform tennis, and he is a very active platform tennis and pickleball player. Chris and his wife, Liz, live in Scarsdale, NY and have two college-aged sons Will (Villanova) and Lance (Fairfield).
